Ok, here's the deal. According to legend, producer William Mishkin destroyed
a number of Andy Milligan's movies, including this one, melting them down for
their silver content or some such nonsense. After talking t
o
Milligan biographer Jimmy McDonough about this very subject, I pretty much gave
up on finding a copy of this movie, but now, five years later, I'm back on the
case. The way I see it, there must be a copy floating around out there
somewhere. You know, like in someone's attic, along with those handwritten
Beatles' lyrics. So, I'm just putting it out there. If you have a copy or know
someone who has a copy, let me know. If you can actually get me a copy,
you'll be a GOD in my eyes. Seriously, people in my family have been looking for
this movie since before I was born! By the way, it is possible that you have a
copy of a film that is titled The Naked Witch. It may even have
Milligan's name and cast listed on the back, but let me tell you, I'm 99% sure
that it's not the right movie. There is another movie called The Naked Witch
that was made the same year and which is available on video. Unfortunately, this
is not Milligan's film, no matter what the box might say.
Oh, and one more thing. My aunt is in this movie, which is why we've been searching for a copy all these years. I know next to nothing about Milligan, but from what I've heard he was an um, interesting guy. Read McDonough's book for more info. It received wonderful reviews, and I've heard it's quite good, but I think I'm better off not knowing exactly what went on back then, you know?
